24/5/2008 Final Reflection
Application of Web 2.0 in the library:
1. make a library homepage or blog or wiki to promote the news or books.
2. use mindmeister to support the New Senior Seconday (NSS) curriculum like the Liberal Studies.
3. use podcasting for book sharing or promoting library activities.
4. Use del.ici.ous.com to provide links or pathfinders for searching information and useful websites.
5. Allow students to give feedback through the library blog.

Librarything
My favourite website is :
What's good?
- Meet the world's largest book club. Find people with eerily similar tastes.
- Catalog with Amazon, the Library of Congress or 680 other world libraries. Import from anywhere.
- Get recommendations. Tag your books and explore others' tags.
- Put your books on your blog.
- Enter 200 books for free, as many as you like for $10 (year) or $25 (life).
Check it out
- Members have cataloged more than twenty-six million books.
- Show your books: on a shelf or as a list.
- Books: Middlesex, The Horse and his Boy, Programming Ruby, Stitch 'N Bitch, The Structure of Scientific Revolutions, Don't Waste Your Life
- Interesting people: avaland, sylphette, Busifer, Irisheyz77, wafflehouse
- Tags: wwii, Victorian, philosophy of science, vampires, theology, dogs
- Check out the LibraryThing blog to see how rapidly—and openly—it's developing.
- If the buzz page doesn't convince you, you cannot be convinced. Go away.
Our reflection on 26th April, 2008
Our reflection:
We can put video from Youtube, photos, mp3 files , slideshows on the blog. We may use blogs in education like the Wiki and Wikipedia. Teacher-librarian can use blogs and Wikies to advertise the library collection, book of the month or result of the reading scheme.

Group memebrs + reflection
We 're Teresa Chan Ching Yee, Mei Cheung Hing Mei, Cat Chung Ka Wai.
We work as a team in the HKU Space librarianship course and we're friends supporting each other. This is a good start to build up networking among teacher librarians.
As for the relfection of Web2.0. We 're green and fresh in IT because the latest trend is Wed 3.0 , yet we could not master Web 2.0 well. Anyway, IT is useful and good for promoting library collections, interacting with our students /teaching staff on the web. Blogging is also cool to impress the teenagers and attract their attention about library promotions and reading schemes ...etc.
Looking forward to learning mre IT tools which could both bebfit our teaching and learning.
